How Are Aircraft Fuel Tanks Maintained?

To ensure that the indicator is illuminating when necessary, you can press the test switch to see if it lights up. Alternatively, you may also turn the battery switch on and build up pressure in the booster pump to verify that everything is working correctly. If the light is still not turning on, then you must repair or replace it promptly.
To check how much pressure is building up in the fuel tank, you can use a fuel pressure gauge. Additionally, to maintain the correct pressure values, you can also check the fuel tank’s glass cover to ensure that the cover is not loose and tighten it if necessary. It is also imperative that you check for any potential leaks in the lines, as well as look for any obstructions in the vent and remove any debris so that the fuel flows properly and at the appropriate pressure.
