AVX Corporation Releases New Connector Parts for Wire-to-board Connections

The passive components and interconnects company, AVX Corporation has expanded its line of bertical wire-to-board connector products. The recently released 00-9296 Series connector features many innovative specifications. This new series is for a 22AWG stranded or sold wire.

The new connectors are believed to be simple, yet robust, at a cost-effective price. This new product is replacing labor intensive connections along with expensive, 2-piece connectors. The newly designed product will also control conditions that make it challenging to reach both repetitive and reliable processes.

Known for its minimum of 600Vac and up to 8A, the 00-9296 Series connectors possess a single-beam, along with phosphor that is pre-plated which will help to solidify board attachment strength. The connector shows off not only high-spring force, but strong resistance against corrosion. The 00-9296 connectors also attributes a reduced X-Y footprint that is twenty-three percent smaller than the next in line, smallest version from AVX corporation. The series also possess' an integral flange that is molded and replaces the expensive Kapton tape. It also supplies a liberal vacuum pick up point for SMT placement.

These new features exceeds the expectations of 2-piece connectors that cost more, and is also more cost-effective in regards to total applied costs (such as quality).
